The seminar is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students interested in algebraic and arithmetic geometry.
The topic for the Fall semester is basics of scheme theory. We will use Vakil's lecture notes and Hartshorne's book as basic references.
The first meeting will be on Oct 6. We will give an outline of what we plan to do this semester and assign speakers to the first talks.
